The Purchase College radio station (WPSR) is completely student run. WPSR promotes free form radio programming, which means giving our DJs complete freedom to play what they like, and speak about what they would like to. Many of our shows include original, local, independent, and experimental music and writing, spontaneous discussion and commentary, and other creative content not always heard on a more traditional radio station. Our main goal is to offer a platform on which any student at Purchase College can express themselves in any way they see fit. This format allows DJs to have an hour to use as creatively as they would like. We offer programming six days a week, with shows that range from radio dramas to showcasing of local bands to political talk shows. In addition to our online stream, we also offer live events such as small live shows in the station, as well as occasionally hosting events in the wider campus community.
